I saw this transition recently by anuj rathi, although I saw some threads on GV about hik moving to Cleartrip, but as business head is something I didn't know Based on this transition is it good to say that -- Product ke log khatre me hai kya( product folks are in danger). Better to have some relevant hard skills rather than just shouting on LinkedIn about entering into product mgmt

What I meant was that a product person in ultimately there to offer better numbers for the business, which usually happens by delivering the best experience for the users. And for this to happen, one should be able to look at the bigger picture as well, not just the feature or product that you as a PM is working on.
Even if a business is majorly just finance/insurance/food, there will be elements of everything within it. For swiggy, there's finance and insurance involved, etc
