Should we look out for Government job ?
Is it worth trying for a government job considering the current layoff scenario in the tech world (specially in India) ?
Governor of India just introduced Unified Pension Scheme for government employees.
At times when it will become very difficult for corporate employees to survive after age of 40-45 in post AI world, this assured pension which was stopped after 2004 has been reintroduced. This will bring back the charm of government job which existed in 1970s-80s . In 70s and 80s, private jobs were synonymous with lack of job security.
Globalization brought heavy salaries in corporate world and helped in reducing charm of govt job.
Now, in 3-4 years, AI is going to cause huge change in corporate world thereby causing huge uncertainty.
What do you people think?
This is pure disaster from BJP . I am literally my father recieving few rupees in pension being a private employee. My uncle's recieving 1 lakh per month and enjoying life with no work. If this was done before,I would never joined private sector, would have continued government job preparation .
Why didn't you asked your father to save from beginning? Private employee never get pension. Don't do the same.mistake and invest in pension scheme
@SpotlessReservation doesn't matter how much you invest . A majority of private employees will never beat government employees in old pension scheme.
Else why did government employees were demanding Old pension scheme? instead of remaining in investment pension scheme like the private employees, they are clever enough.
I'm all fine with Unified Pension Scheme but only problem is why there is no such scheme for private sector employees?
Recession and layoffs are frequent, you may be paying lakhs in income tax today but can be jobless next day. Neither your company nor Govt will take care of you.
There may be loans, EMI and all, you can't send your kids to Govt schools or use Govt hospitals because of their poor conditions. Basically Govt will take 1/3rd salary in your good days, but let you live on road in bad days.
Invest in NPS
Is it true that MLAs and MPs have more than one pension plan, which reflects the number of times they've been elected for that position?
Like if a politician has been an MP for the past 4 terms, they have 5 Pension A/cs in their names all compounding?
What's the point of all this, if its true ?
How will they pay for pensions? By cutting throats of middle-classes like us. Seriously bro there is no future here. Need to leave this country ASAP. I am currently paying more than 42k per month in taxes which is more than what I was earning when I first started working after university. Paying high tax wouldn't bother us if we were getting a good return for those taxes. Instead of health care and social security you will get abuse from police and politicians.
Most countries have high taxes these days, except the Middle East
