Suggest places to travel south of Bangalore

I am going for a friend's wedding in Bangalore, and have decided to take 2 weeks off and rome around in southern India solo. Possibly south of Bangalore. I've never been to Kerala or Tamil Nadu. I'm going mid July. I was thinking I'll go from Mumbai - Bangalore - Bandipur - Wayanad - Kozhikode - Calicut - Mumbai (no of places is not fixed) I like to trek and rest at the beach equally. Love to swim as well. While solo travelling I tend to change plans as it suits, I don't pre book much beforehand. So any plans would do, trying to get a rough idea.

Please suggest places I can visit on 31st and 1st. I only have two days of holiday and do not want to spend it all alone in Bangalore. Also would appreciate if you all can suggest any groups/ Instagram accounts/ companies who have such packages.

Can someone suggest offbeat locations to travel in South India for a 3-day weekend? Travel-friendly locations with road and public transport access also are the factors to be considered.
