Daily Watercooler (5th July)
Hey everyone, Hope it's going well.
What this post is: a place to hang around and chat just about anything - without having a specific topic to discuss.
Think of it like the watercooler at your office.
Look forward to hearing from you all :)

Btw does anyone else in Bangalore keep going down with cold and sore throat every few days? Cannot pinpoint if it's the weather change or the pollen in the air
Anyone with a strong RCA on this?

I have not been very happy with what I'm doing. We are a team of 15 in a pre seed startup. I had a feeling of quitting frequently but got an unexpected raise in May. Since both my kids start school next week, I have suddenly stopped cribbing. Not sure of myself at the moment.

Recently joined a new office 3rd month.
Team is quite small <20. Always feel a bit left out.
There's a kind of divide now older vs newer folks.
They chit chat, go 4 tea breaks etc without asking me and they'd ask everyone else(old ones)
Hopefully situation will get better:)

Getting in so many referrals but no response afterwards from recruiter. What is happening 🥲 Is it my profile or market is like that

What’s your profile?

IIT background, non circuital branch

Ey yaar my client network has been under cyber attacks. No access until August, they are asking us to fill nonsense excel sheets - what will you do until August please fill and percentage completion! Everything, I mean everything is on client network except deployed codes and data templates. What do we do????

I see my batchmates doing bhaiya/didi to every senior whether offline or a complete stranger on LinkedIn.
I address seniors with their first name(online) and they are cool with that.
I respect seniors. But this Bhaiya Didi Madam Sir to immediate seniors should stop.
To elderly Sir Madam is fine.
Will society accept me? Am I doing wrong?

Great insights bhaiya 😊

Trying to keep a calm mind today and not get triggered by my senior's poor communication skills and their efforts to act like a boss :)
