Don't ask for irrelevant features before thinking of the culture of the team. The leads and managers throw super ultra complex features to SDE-1's and when they can't get it done. Toxic leads and managers throw them into PIP. Think about the complexity and let the leads and managers know that this is complex to assign more people to it. And don't ask for irrelevant improvements when the features are released or after it. You sound cool in front of the management. But the person who needs to execute will get depression, anxiety and what not. So think in terms of what's really necessary. I can recommend a company to build a rocket that will help them get billions of dollars, but only the people who build needs what it takes, apart from talking all day and thinking I did it, I made this feature.
