Businesses not startup. And you should've sold your product to customers not VCs. Saw a recent post of a guy who did same raised $5M and his startup failed but I am sure he took out 10L pm salary. Anyways I won't criticise him for burning someone's money because people who funded him have IQ and EQ equivalent to peanuts. I am starting out alone cuz I couldn't find a co-founder for myself. Realised this is the best route, still didn't have a technical co-founder since all tech guys are busy looking for a job or PG. And remaining of my batchmates are "idea" guys. Who I consider equal to product managers. They're like basil leaves on poha. It doesn't add anything to it's taste nor the looks. I am right now on a solo route. Any tips or tricks is welcome even psychological. Actually psychological is more helpful since I am in the industry where doing a job is considered as a "hobby" now imagine making your own product. Even tips on taxes and personal finance is welcome from men and women here. P.s the industry is gaming industry and I make mobile games. So only comment if you have something to add cuz I am already done with "find a job" ones from everyone in my life. Btw I made some games and 1 of them is doing good and making me decent money.

Take this work a pinch of salt, not to be triggered. I work in a company with a good number of folks working in product, growth/ strategy. Many of which are from tier 1 Indian business schools or some even from abroad. Paid hefty, I just don't see them being that smart. Putting way too much time into presenting something instead of getting work done. Jugaad method of calculating target metrics, ever changing requirements (low on clarity) is just the norm. I was someone who looked upto these colleges and wanted to be in one after having a good 5 yoe. Now I'm not sure. Hoping to be proved wrong, so there's no need to fire your guns at me :)

It is fun sometimes but I feel that's 20% off it. There are 99 reasons wherein you feel like giving up daily but somehow you stick along & keep going. The stories we read online or anywhere else of riches are quite few but you feel a complete let down wherein somebody made insane money in 3 years & you are struggling for 5 years+ making some money but not what you imagined. I run a profitable bootstrapped business for 5+ years & some days are hard coz everybody is hopping on new tech (eg: Crypto, AI) & you might be doing the same old stuff & don't know how to pick yourselves up to learn something new. People are getting funded & making insane money in secondaries, etc. Then dealing with bullshit on the internet. Everyone on LinkedIn is successful, putting numbers & gyaan. Some days are overwhelming & you feel being super rich comes with a lot of factors in your favor & tradeoffs as well. Bas, tumhara number aaya nahi hai ya shayad hi aayega. Rant over.

I personally admire people who don't need to be on or use social media to run their businesses. But it's become difficult to avoid not sharing something ever so often to stay relevant. People have goldfish memory spans and seem to forget things easily these days. They need reminders that xyz brand/person still exists. Plus I'm a private person and don't really like talking about myself much. And meaningful share-worthy work milestones only happen once in a while. Any good examples of people who have grown personal brands without posting occasional selfies on LinkedIn? How about outside LinkedIn? The only one that comes to my mind is Michael Burry, but I'm not nearly as good a trader as him.

What should I do to reach 100 cr in 10-15 years? I'm an ambitious person who can work his ass off. But I lack direction, I don't know what I should do to get there. Any answer can give me a better perspective. But please refrain from questioning the ambition. I'm in tech and I make 22 lacs/year (4 years of exp) My current portfolio split up: 6 lacs - Nifty 50 MF 5 lacs - FD 10-20 lacs - real estate

What is the probability of generating significant wealth (1-5Cr) by working at startups(Both US headquartered and India headquartered) in India? Is Generating wealth through ESOPS normal thing in India or very few lucky ones make such money? Do you know guys who have made significant money by working at startups? If yes, what parameters one should look for while identifying such startups?

So I interviewed for a SaaS company serving US clients. I got selected after three rounds (basic email chat, built a project, technical coding round at last) and got selected. Finally, it was time to discuss salary and joining date with the CEO. He was impressed by the about section on my portfolio, where I mentioned that I like to go on treks, hikes, read books, lift weights, go on a run, etc. During our call he mentioned that everyone at the startup works 6-7days a week, 12hrs a day and asked if I'd be fine with it as I have a "happening life". I said that I'm not used to it but I'll manage and work in appropriate working hours. He seemed to agree on it. But he ghosted me after that, and when I pinged him in the email thread; he said he's not moving ahead with me because my other properties won't allow me to "work as much as other employees". How am I supposed to react to this lol
