Advice
I started in FAANG about 7 years ago(first job out of college). Went to USA for a brief period of 1.5 years. I have saved up around 6-7cr and have a total CTC of 1.2-1.3cr All this is amazing but I am not happy. Job is bleh with everyone I have met trying to press their own agenda. Growth in terms of promotions is slow and with economy like this, you can be fired anytime. I have been having trouble sleeping and it’s not been easy. Have tried therapy but it’s not helping. Maybe I need sabbatical as I burnt out
I empathize with you, I truly do, but this post is extremely tone deaf.
If you truly wanted happiness advice, your TC and your savings wouldn’t need mentioning. If you’re fishing for compliments, there are easier ways. If you truly need help, start by learning a lesson in humility.

You need some grounding. Go help some unprivileged people. With what u have in terms of money, I doubt anybody would shred any sympathy. Just splurge ur way out of this as you have that luxury which many of us don’t. Chasing TC would make anyone’s life meaningless.

Oh I can empathise with this so much. I know a couple of people who are in the same boat. A few suggestions that have come up -
1. Take a break and no, not a 2 week vacation. Just take a sabbatical - has to be a minimum of 3 months.
2. Develop other interests - are you taking care of your health (fitness goals), spending more time with family?
3. Meet more / new people, learn something new.
Well - I have been considering a few of the above. A friend of mine and I have been discussing this for a while. Extremely driven folks end up getting burnt out and have existential questions about work and life’s meaning. A break is a pause to disconnect and discover. Doesn’t have to be the end. :)
Your in the Steve jobs goes to India for enlightenment phase. Just take a week or 2 long break and go for a backpack trip alone.
I would have tried to build my own business a startup as we say. For example I have this idea of owning my own restaurant which serves the tastiest food, has a unique outdoor as well as indoor area, which will make you feel good...and someday it gets so famous that it may become a landmark of my own small town.... Everyone has something in their mind....i guess it's your time to work on your dreams enough of doing work for others, time to make something which is your own, which helps people to make a livelihood, which makes you proud to call it yours. It's the perfect time to work for yourself, and try making an impact on society. Have a good time ahead.

You have to accept this is all there is to life. Find some hobbies/interest which will help you get some moments of joy.
Not as old as you. But tbh just take some ashwagandha and go to sleep that’s it. Wake up the next hit gym and enjoy your life. Take your kids out if married and talk with your parents
