Shifting to a different tool/technical/domain

Hi I am looking for someone who recently switched to other company, so that I will get some understanding like what questions are getting asked , topics to focus,and interview questions Domain- Java Full Stack - 2-4 year of experience

Has anyone here, moved away from Software Development to something else. Maybe in a completely different direction, like became a graphics designer, or Game developer etc. or in a similar direction, like went towards Product Management or something similar. If yes, then I want to know your experience with the switch, and the steps you took to make it happen. I got into Software engineering 2-3 years ago (attracted by the salaries) but now I just don’t feel like doing it anymore at all. I asked a friend who’s a PM, and his take on this was, if i wanted to keep earning how much I currently do (20-30 LPA), and want to go even further than that, then SDE is the only option, PMs do not get paid that much amount, when compared to SDEs in the longer run. What’s your take on this?

I want to switch my role to a Data Engineering job as my current role is not having enough job opportunities outside. I am planning to learn tools on Data Engineering. Like the Data Frameworks: Airflow,SSIS,Azure Factory And Dataworks like Snowflake,Databricks,Postgres I need some guidance on which tool to start learning and if I plan to learn these tools for the next 6 months. Is it possible to crack the interviews....this is my 1st switch to a new company. Can anyone pls suggest which framework, Dataworks tool i need to start and has high possibility for getting switch to new company. If possible can you pls share the learning path 🙏🙏🙏. I am curious to know if people have switched roles while retaining the pay relevant to experience. Examples - QA Engineer/devops engineer/frontend(2+ yrs exp) to backend(SDE2 or similar)
