Anyone from 10k designers who have completed their program? Are you working with company or still looking?
Don’t join. Not from 10k, but have lot of friends their star batches and recent batches.
Both batches didn’t recommend to join. Some folks will suggest to join the network.
Focus on your skills and craft, try to show the work to the world. You will get lot of opportunities.
Networking only helps, if you have skills.
You can make your own network. Attend few meet-ups, genuinely ask questions to Sr folks if you wanna know something about.
Why don't people speak up on not joining, have seen majorly recommending it. Whats the area or aspect of it they don't like and don't recommend?
See, no one teach you design in Span of 6months. Especially product design, it’s impractical.
Most of designers you are doing well off from this cohort were already good designers. 10k just acted as catalyst for them.
Major complain were pace of the course, as they have finish wide range of topics, they are always on the speed boat. They don’t care if someone lags behind. Also what they teach is not something you can’t learn on your own, the why pay them a premium price
