I am thinking of leaving my current job and focus on myself, getting to know myself better etc. Currently I have enough money saved for my expenses for next 6-8 months. Everyone I have asked about this say don't leave your job if you don't have another lined up, in this tech winter. I understand their view point. It aligns with what my parents think as well. Is there anyone who has had done this in the past? Do you recommend this route? Are the consequences far too severe? Does anyone have a different opinion from one stated above?

Questioning life choices currently. I think I gave taken the wrong path for myself. I don't really know what would suit me. I know that it's alright to f around and figure out stuff early career but I'm worried about my salary and career trajectory. As in, I do not want to be stuck in entry level roles forever. What do you think? Any anecdotes?

I have given many interviews in my life, but the one thing common in every interview is asking where do you see yourself in 5 years. And I have no idea how to answer this question. I have experienced this multiple times when the interviewer asked me this question, and I did not have a proper answer. So please tell me a few good and appropriate answers to this question. I know I should be honest in the interview but I don’t know how I should respond to this question when I, myself, don't know the actual answer. What would be the ideal answer to this question?

Apologies for the long post. Context settings is very much needed, I believe. I haven't been very ambitious about my IT career, but at the same time always tried to contribute to the best of my abilities. Total 17 YOE with about 3 years of UPSC preparation in between. I have worked with one of the WITCH companies for 15 years before moving to TCS. Now for the last two years in TCS I feel like I haven't tried to get mapped to a role matching my abilities. Have been doing the same scrum master role which I used to do 5-6 years back. The reason mostly has been that I don't want a role too demanding, i guess. Got opportunities for client partner role in middle East, but flatly denied owing to family constraints. Aim is to secure decent savings and early retirement, if/when possible. The question that keeps haunting me, if this is the right thing to do? Or shall I put more efforts to progress my career.

Just kicked off my career, and i'm figuring out my path to become DoP in next 7y. Do you switch at right time? What kind of skillset should you hone to become one?

I have done MBA from 7 years of work ex and switched into product management later. I have been struggling for the last 3 years with switching jobs every year post MBA. I am not able to find any anchor or goal. Further, wfh doesn't help either 😭😭. I was planning to connect with people who empathize with my situation, any guidance or help.
