How can I connect with senior folks in product management?

I am PM with around 5 yrs of experience. I’m struggling to take my skill to next level. always receive feedback from management that output isn’t good, mostly that UX isn’t good. what can I do to improve my work? 1. Read books ? 2. Study successful products from outside ? 3. Listen to podcasts 4. Work with great product people? but hardly these exist 5. leave this field altogether? 6. Just have patience and keep learning everyday? Can experienced people share what has worked out well for them? or point me to some directions?

I am a 2023 graduate and a product Enthusiast. I am from a top tier NIT but unfortunately no companies come for PM roles. I have no idea why. I have a placement in a very good company and a very good salary but im not satisfied because its not in Product. What are my options, what do I do? I am not at all interested in another rat race to the IIMs and MBA degrees. I just want to work and hustle. What can I do?? Appreciate all the suggestions. Thank you

Hey folks, I'm wondering what kinda role I should pursue next after product management. I'm done with this role, works vary from company to company and team to team. It's tough to make people understand the difference between pre-PMF products & mature products, and how the metrics impact vary across the spectrum. And this completely changes the equation of your appraisal or your promotion as well. I don't see myself working in the same kind of role after 5 years. So I'm wondering what kinda role I should look out for? My general interests are more analytics & strategy centric. What do you guys think??

I have 5+ years of total experience - 3+ years of BA (business analyst) + Sr BA experience and a year of Product Manager 2 experience. Then I started my own venture. I'm thinking about switching back to the product manager role as my firm is not working as per the expectations and product development & growth marketing is something I genuinely enjoy working on. I need some advice from you all - how can I justify my 'employment gap'? What should I tell (or rather hide) about start-up failure? What should be my approach while applying for PM openings? Where should I start? I have graduated from an IIT, how can I leverage that? I know some of these questions would sound noobish, but I really don't have much experience in switching careers. Your help is appreciated 🙂.

Im a Product Manager 1yoe in a SaaS startup. I had a good experience in the first year. I got to build a product 0-1, competitor analysis, work on creating prioritization frameworks, UAT, content marketing, wireframing. However, since January the compamy started their stabilization phase, and PM's are now taking care of Sales and lead generation(Content, Ads etc.). The nail in the coffin is we are getting dragged to follow up renewals( Customer Success) 🤢 Im currently motivated to building something new, and it feels like we are being dragged into everything as the company does not want to hire. With no pay hike or any adfitional benefit. Please advice. Should I look for a new job?

I am currently managing a product, which has not really scaled up as expected over the last 1.5 years. Hand to heart, I can say I have given my best in terms of efforts but still the outcomes are not as expected due to many factors beyond my control. Now this has created a perception amongst senior management that my team is working very slowly and not able to build what customers want. It is very difficult to change this perception in short term I have asked for change of product portfolio multiple times but that is not getting entertained. Any suggestions if I want to stay in this company (other than the very obvious - looking for opportunities outside the organisation.)
