Fucked up an interview, unable to process it.
So, I fucked up an interview real bad 2 days ago, and my mind is unable to process it and cannot forget about it. Don't know why I am feeling worthless from inside and feeling like this was my last interview. Maybe it's because of close to 40% hike I was getting on my fixed part. The results will be out by tomorrow and I am not gonna make it, I am pretty sure. I know life has something good in store for me and I am not seeing the future, almighty has seen it and he's simply driving me towards the path I am made for. But, how do I process it?
Go watch Kisi ka Bhai ...kisi ki jaan....π If Salman Khan can fuckup after 100's of movies...

I've given total 40 interview rounds(~15 companies) in the last 2 months. Got rejected in 3 in the final round either because they stopped hiring or found a person asking lesser. Awaiting results for 2 Final rounds.
From failing in 1st round to Making it to final rounds was definitely a growth curve for me.
Don't devalue yourself.
Happens, youβll probably never f up again.
The way I see it, interviews are more like net practise, you give it once or twice every quarter, and then you become really good at it.
Start with shitty companies and then apply for dream ones.
Good luck!

I knew the answers, but fumbled really badly that day.
Answered most of those, correctly after one try.

Happens to the best of us sometimes. Learn and move on
I have an Excel sheet of rejections. :) Watch a movie, Hang out with friends. It will hurt but hope you will get over it soon.
The only way to process it is giving more and more interviews and working on your mistakes,
A very common and extremely underrated advice

I broke a chair after I got rejected by grofers during my college placements... Interview was too embarassing, I was out of my depth and I killed myself in that interview. Lol one interviewer woman was laughing. I just couldn't accept the scene and threw my chair hard.
But wow as it turned out, they withdrew offers for those that got placed in grofers.
Anyway, I got into depression later during lateral switch when I was trying for foreign jobs. There is soo much randomness. Interview were a cakewalk, but after that I always got rejected, 3-4 times.
Anyway now, I am getting more salary in India than what I would have got it I went to London.
Just give it time, and hold on to things that give your life meaning & learn from mistakes

I messed up a 500% increment interview and worst part? It wasn't even my fault. Long story short the code template I was using to code the question asked had messed up versions of dependencies (my code was 100% correct).
To add salt to the wound that interview came when I had been laid off so I desperately needed a job.
To give you more context I originally used to make 16LPA at the laid off job. I'll let you calculate the missed amount.
Fast forward one more month, I'm at a cushy corporate job obv not making 500% than my previous but still more than 100%.
All this should tell you is that chill, life will give you something :)
Bro I f up my interview at Atlassian. My friend f up his interview at Rubrik and we all are still vibing. He made it to Uber and I made it to Paypal. π
Aise dukhi rahoge to life ka "something good in store" ka kaise sochoge? Learn and move on buddy, happens to the best of us! ππ»ββοΈ
