EPF - Guide me please?

I can't set aside 12% as EPF, but rather plan to go the standard deduction route.

But I still have some money left, lets say. Where can I park it monthly basis which wiuld give me safe returns like EPF?

1 year FDs give around 7%+ nowadays
While PF is 8.25% I would say FD is good option for your usecase

What about the direct 30% taxation of FD? Park it in an index fund if you don’t need the money in short term, this is the safest bet.
