Random thought
Do you guys think going forward when the average age of a tech employee becomes 30+, companies will prefer to hire single folks over married ones? Since single folks have no added burden to maintain timings due to family and can work longer hours, can it be the case that married guys lose edge in the job market? Don't judge me, this was a completely random thought and wanted to see what other think?

If you can let go of that singles can work long hours because no "burden", world will be a better place

Not really. Some companies who think people are just there to fill their timesheets and what not can think like this. But mostly they would hire for people who can get the work done. If you convince them you can despite your family commitments, I don't see why not.
Besides at 30+ people don't need more hours, they just need to make best use of their limited time (since they would mostly be in senior roles)

Exceptions always exist, but in my current company, most people who are 30+ aren't making that much of an impact than say someone who is 26-27.
