Uber lifetime spendings

So many folks are speaking out (or bragging who knows🤷) about their monthly/yearly paychecks. Just curious, for all single folks who are receiving a hefty wad of cash every month: 1. what do your general expenses look like? 2. what do you like to spend it on the most? Here's my monthly breakdown(jab hum employed hua karte the🥲): rent(coliving PG)- 12k transport- avg. 1.5k food- avg 7k gym & stuff- 7k parties- 5k misc- 2k TOTAL- 34.5k out of 80k in-hand Apart from the general expenses, once in a while, I'll indulge in buying a good perfume of around 5-6k. The 2 most costly purchases I made were a new laptop(asus vivobook)- 50k & prs electric guitar & accessories- 82k What about you?

Which tool/system you use to manage your expenses? How you keep your budget in line? How you see your expenditure habits? Here are few things I wants in any app - Great if I can integrate with UPI apps - Can add multiple tags (social, recurring, etc) [must] - Can show nice graphs of my expenditure habits - Can export the data in csv or any accessible format [must] - Can manage different bank accounts, for instance: XYZ is debited from this account, ABC from this.. - Can handle splits/reimbursement effectively: I don't want to show Rs 3000 expense, when basically it's a 600 one. So just a green 2400 indicating money I should get in return (something like that) How do you manage? Ik simple GSheet might work as well, but WHAT'S YOUR SYSTEM to manage it?

I interviewed with Uber in Jan 2023, cleared all the rounds but they did not released the offer till march, so I lost hope and moved ahead. Fast forward, they reach out in Feb this year as they are hiring aggressively now. Received the offer letter based on last year interview rounds. Right now I’m working for a MNC as SDE 2(~5 YOE) and I’m not sure weather to join it or not. Uber is offering SE-2 for a fintech team. Other points: 1) cash component is 40% higher than my current org. This excludes the RSUs which Uber provides 2) various additonal perks which Uber provides like free food, wellness , insurance etc 3) WLB is great right now, not sure about it in Uber 4) Frequent Layoffs in Uber Folks working in Uber, how is the wlb and layoffs scenario here. Would you recommend joining?

For me it's ipad9 , I used it for note taking , reading ebook , watch tutorials, taking notes on onenote , rejuvenation etc. it's less distraction than phone and more useful. Can you please suggest items you bought under 30k and it increased your productivity or gave to 10x reward?

Have lately been exploring switching out from Uber to early stage startups. Exploring founding engineer roles / CTO roles with people I know well The worst of it has been just the fact that our salaries are hard to match (even with Cash + ESOP, no matter what you do) Like I know you need to be okay with less cash. But I now feel that it’s such a jump down, I wonder if it makes sense. And then this feeling forever makes me averse to trying out something big, risky, bold. It’s a catch-22 situation lol
