Bangalore relocation crisis
I have to relocate to Bangalore for job as a fresher (Office at Bellandur) by end of July. They're providing a 10 day accomodation and later I'll have to arrange a PG or apartment for myself. All suggestions regarding the property hunting, travel arrangements within the city, etc are needed and welcome. PS: Share your noteworthy experiences ;)
DON'T EVER PAY A SINGLE PENNY TO A PG WITHOUT CHECKING IT IN PERSON. ONLINE BOOKING IN PGs/COLIVING IS A SCAM
• Find accommodation in a maximum of 5km radius from office
• Start looking for listings on nobroker, make sure to filter by bachelors (if you are one) Never pay anyone for anything there… ask for visitation to look at the place.
• Furlenco could be used for renting items but find associated costs first. For eg, getting your clothes washed at a laundromat May be cheaper than renting a washing machine
• Use Pincode for ordering food, save some crucial ₹₹
• Get daily essentials from ikea if you’re setting up the place from scratch.
Thanks for the info!🤜🤛
Well, cost of living in Bangalore is very high. So before relocating, make sure you check the cost of living in Bangalore vs your earning. Many freshers end up asking money from home even after they join the job. PG food is like jail food. So gradually you end up renting a flat with your colleagues. Check for flat rents, maintenance, electricity bill, cook salary etc.
Don't hire autorikshaws face to face. Always book them on app.
Don't smoke outside your PG or flat.
Always buy booz from MRP outlets.
If you smoke green leaves, remember that it's adulterated and sprayed with rat poison for strength.
