Feeling shitty about performance feedback

Today, I received a warning email from the HR stating my performance is slow and they are going to decide on my employment.

I have joined this company very recently, as SDE 2. They are expecting me to complete a 30 day task within 10 days. I got excited and took it. I have been working my ass off, beyond the clock to achieve it. Most of it was new to me, since i don't have professional experience on this particular stack. It took me 6 days to achieve stability and structure of the application. Literally I haven't been sleeping a bit.

Now after 10 days they just shared this email. I really wanted to let this out.

Performance appraisal is just a yearly reminder that the employment is at their mercy. Beyond that it's has no meaning full value.
As a rule of thumb, one must always crib and complain at their jobs. If it takes 30days , one must say 50 days. If they ask us to complete in 10 days we must cry in front of them and shown tham that we are suffering. That's the only way to survive. Have you seen any ceo come on TV and say "life is good we are going to make a ton of money" no they always say " tough times ahead, recession time" , "perform or perish".. all the usual BS. We should follow our leaders.

Haha, that's why companies do bulk hiring of inexperienced freshers, at low pay every year, who are too innocent and excited to realize these practical realities. It's a great business model.

Asking out of curiosity. Your ID says you’re a UI UX designer but you mentioned that you joined as a SDE. Am I missing something here?

I read in a well-established memo from in FAANG that new joiners (SDEs) are evaluated within the first 7 days of their joining based in commits on the repository.

Might me inspired from this. Commit code and move forward. Most of the things we do in Software Industry is reversible and non-consequential buddy.

If you are ready for some more sleepless nights, Revert with a fuck you email and leave. But you have will have to spend some nights awake looking for jobs, so you aren't going to sleep anyway. You can look for job in better temperament with no weights on your shoulders.
How about doing the current one and keep looking somwhere else? Yeah sounds like good strategy number wise. And especially for someone without any self respect. If are just a number in world, then go that way. If you have any self-respect for yourself , want to keep your spirit alive, then revert with a livershot. Fuck them. All and all it's on you. How you respond to attack.

Yes, doing that. Handled the meeting quite well and feedback was justified. I hope I can manage for some more months :)

Just fyi they have issued a much cheaper offer letter to someone like you and want to sideline you now. You have been shown the door. Take it.

Are you a UX/UI designer or SDE2? Both can't be correct?

I had a transition to the Developer role in a startup.

I switched to a developer role after being in support for 12 years. I hoped they would give me a role where i can shadow someone for the first project as i had made clear that the switch was because of my interest and not because I am proficient. They literally put in a project without any support or team and expected me to understand and deliver the project on short deadlines. I was working 18 hrs a day and still couldn't finish it. I couldn't even speak to the project manager as i didn't know him well. Then one escalation came for me and that is when I opened up to the project manager. I told him i was new and wasn't aware how to code professionally. He thankfully understood and gave me time to first write the logic, confirm it and get it approved. Then I moved on to write the code which finished within a week.

Sometimes you just need time and understanding people to adjust your flow. Don't give up yet. Find compassionate people in your higher ups and take their advice on handling things. Hope this helps.
