For Bike and auto enthusiasts!!

I am a noob at bike but have some disposable $$ to put into a good bike. The current idea is to go for a decent bike which isn't too much over the top. The budget goes from 2lakh to 5 lakh. It isn't a rational buy but a emotional buy.

What would be your suggestion in these ranges Below 2 lakh 2 to 3.5 lakh 3.5 to 5lakh

And why?

@Silverbullet getting this suggestion from a lot of the people but the BMW owner says no. Too expensive servicing and spare parts just loot you.

Buy a service package for 3 years.

Going way over 5lakh if all add ons and this is included. Also service package doesn't include some items and they are also changed in each servicing. Will search a bit more here.

What's your preference?

Naked street bike for city use (high or low mileage?) or Sports bike for Speed or Adventure bike for semi long rides and off-road rides or tourer for long rides?

@YaboiMarley semi long rides and city use but still feels like a expensive bike with medium street presence.

Not optimising for speed.

Drove pulsar 400 didn't like it.
Looked at ultraviolet bikes too they were perfect but came with a heafty price tag and range anxiety.

If you prefer:

  1. Sports bike - then Yamaha R3
  2. Street bike - then Kawasaki Ninja 300/400
  3. Adventure bike - then KTM Adventure 390

I will not comment on cruisers as I don't think there are any good cruisers in India. Do not buy a Royal Enfield. It is not a bike.

Hmm. Triumph 400, GT 650, Duke 390 Gen 3 (Expensive but exciting to ride and even works for rides up to 400km), RTR310, Dominor 400 (Surprisingly had all good things with good price) are some good options from my limited knowledge. I myself am planning to buy the Duke 390 Gen 3 ( Don't really care about the Chapri name).

All of these have readily available spar parts all over India with relatively good price.

You can of course try foreign brands like Aprilla, BMW or keeway or zontes but their sapre parts are expensive and not available all over india.

I have a classic 350. Planning to upgrade to Harley X in the near future. It’s subtle but still commanding. Ride comfort is also there

BMW because it’s a BMW

Not a bike enthusiast But Royal enfield is love (cause it looks cool and has comfortable back seat unlike bikes which will have back seats at first floor duh)

@PinkHedgeI get the point but RE is just too loud for me. Brother had a meteor but I wasn't a fan of the engine fart sounds it made.
