Got a job offer with almost 50% increase in my base but I'm not sure because the company seems toxic. What should I do? The company seems almost desperate to hire

So today I received an offer from a startup that is giving me a pretty good 50% jump on my current base. It's not a well-known startup but during my interview i noticed certain red flags, the way they were interviewing, very arrogant and got a lot of micro-managing vibes from them, expect designs to delivered very quickly.

While the money is very good, I'm skeptical if I should accept it or not? What would you guys do in such a situation? I am working currently

I have changed jobs very frequently in the last 1 year. Some weren't location fit, some weren't product fit or I get a more lucrative one. One thing I realised is, you can walk out whenever you want and there are abundant opportunity outside. I worked at a highly paid startup for some time. That really boosted my CTC even while switching within months.

Get the CTC hike and quit if it’s bad.

Can you offer shop? That money is good, if you can negotiate with another good company; it will be a win win

Disclaimer: I don't advocate this. But a man's gotta what it gotta do 🤷‍♀️

Why not use the new offer to negotiate & bump up your salary in current org if you don't wanna switch now.

What if they refuse to bump up my salary

Never join toxic moronic companies. Reject such offers. 50% is hardly any big increase, many are getting 50% these days from other organisations too- some MNCs as well. Unless they give something like 150% hike, you shouldn’t even think of joining such risky organisations. They will spoil your life.

Suggest you to talk with the team members if possible or someone from the company in detail to evaluate the toxicity. Based on the interview,we can't say how toxic company is. Try to get more data/info which will help you to make informed decision. Having said this, if you come to conclusion that the managers or team are toxic, no matter how much they pay, i suggest don't join. After a few months, this toxicity costs your mental wellness, which is more valuable than CTC. When you got multiple offers/switched companies in short term, which I assume you have good skillset which are in demand, so wait for some more time, give more interviews and then shift to good company

Should I switch if I really like my current org?

I joined my current org right out of college and have been working here for 2+ years. I really like the company’s culture, openness while pay is also great as per my standards and needs.

I recently interviewed for a startup casually and...
