Guys will Amazon revoke our offer

I an currently in my last semester of engineering and will be joining Amazon in June/July. With all these layoffs I am really worried weather my offer will get revoked.

Stay in touch with HR - that’s most important

Done that. They are saying that at this moment the job offer is valid. However I do not when they might revoke it

Look bro even HR wouldn’t see it coming if her/his own job is on chopping block. Try to have a plan in place for worse case, that’s all u can do. Other suggestions might help but don’t build expectation on top of it that it guarantees u start on job. In other news, Uber has more hire count for India so if Amazon has same pattern in mind then u r safe.

I am trying for off campus. But the moment they hear that I have offer from Amazon they rejected me. Like last week after clearing technical round I sat for HR round. There out of the blue she asked weather I have a offer from Amazon. I do not know how she got to know. It is not like I have posted somewhere.

Do not tell that you have an offer just tell them you didn't like the team so rejected the ppo

I asked my Nephew who’s in Amazon as an SDE-2. He told me that internships are safe. Full time job offers are likely to be honoured unless your BU is reducing head count. It’s all about proximity to revenue generating BUs. According to him, you can even be laid off right after joining and the situation is tense internally.

My 2 cents, get one or two offers just in case from a smaller org, you should have a safe way out. Your only graduating right now and with no official work experience and competing with 2022 graduates with 1 years of experience is going to be hard. So, leverage this Amazon offer till you can.
