Heath Insurance Recommendation

Hi all! I'm planning to buy a health insurance policy for my parents but I have never gotten one before. I don't know what to look for in a good policy and how to choose the right one. Any suggestions?

You missed important details: your parents age, any previous condition etc.

They're 54&63 and by god's grace no serious health condition so far

Cannot get it for the person above 60. Impossible; 54 may try but they will ask for a full body checkup & if anything comes up they will either cancel or make an exception for that disease. Cost between 55-75K for 30L plan.

Parents must take before 50 otherwise agency knows that when everyone crosses 60 something will happen with their body.

I'm also planning, considering hdfc ergo. Parents age 60-65 10lk gold plan is costing 55K 10lk platinum is costing 70k

Above 60 is next to impossible because the agency knows the parents will get sick & admitted.

Go to ditto, There you can read about different important clauses of health insurance ( it is written in very easy to understand manner) They also provide you an expert if you want to talk to someone, good thing bis they don't spam or force you to take any insurance.
