How big is student market opportunity for brands?
I’ve been exploring the changing consumer landscape and the high tech adoption among students and young adults. Recognizing that they’re often key targets for brands, I’m considering creating a couponing marketplace tailored for them. The idea is to partner with brands to offer exclusive student discounts across categories like logistics, refurbished products, and apparel. Students would be able to access these offers through our site or app. I’d love to get your thoughts on this—let me know what are key pitfalls i need to keep in mind..
My previous org had dabbed into this space for 3 years before pivoting. Key point was that students don’t have a lot of income to pay for stuff. Schools and colleges too will focus on low cost. However if you target parents, you are very likely to make a lot of money.

Indian students have a wishlist but they have practical 0 income. BNPL apps were mostly targeting students with micro ticket loans bcoz students don’t have enough money to even travel by Uber.
