How do you land at such roles while working in serviced based companies? At what point of career or after many years you got the opportunity? How should someone set the path or do/learn things?
Many companies have IJPs along with programs to transition from one role to another.
If your company doesn't have it then you can follow the below steps:
Learn the things for the desired role
Get certified (not recommended for general scenarios but for SM/PM roles I have seen people doing it)
Check with your current project and/or staffing team if there's a chance to pivot
If not then start looking outside for this role, you will get shortlisted one day for sure.
