How to create a good CV?

I have recently visited a tier 3 engineering college & am amazed/rather confused to see that on one side we have students working on startup ideas, while on the other side, some students are still struggling to create a CV. I just wanted to check with this community: Are there any best websites, like zety, yourcoc.com, or anything else, that can help in creating a good CV? Or what would you suggest?

Someone told me flowcv renders are not ATS friendly? Is this why I was getting shortlisted? Or is it pure bs?

Maybe, I have seen the same with Zety while yourcoc.com CVs are ATS compliant - have heard from some recruiters.

Excellent suggestions directly from a tech recruiter (look for the specific section in the podcast in the description): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnNSmr7IBKc

ats are looking for few keywords to be present in the resume, and also getting shortlisted via portal no matter the platform is luck. so refferals are the way to go, speaking from hussles.
