I’m confused. Need help!!

I just got a offer from one Indian Finance company for Pune location (I would have to relocate). They are giving 13.90 LPA, out of which 11 is fixed and 2.75 is performance pay. They have alternate Saturday working policy, WFO, strict office timings and lots of workload sometimes more than 9 hours of working.

What they have to offer is good appraisal cycle (> 10%), and a promotion in 18 months.

Now my challenge is I joined a MNC X org in the second month of March with 12.55 LPA (10.5 is fixed and 1.26 is performance pay).

What they have to offer is Hybrid, chill environment, free lunch, good medical benefits, and WLB. What they don’t offer is good appraisal ( they have standard appraisal policy same for everyone around 4-7%) and promotion.

I’m confused on what to do!! I’m open to working on Saturday and with heavy workload, as the money is priority. But since I already joined company X and people here are so good.

I’m looking for any suggestions or your personal experience.

Note: I didn’t told to Indian finance company that I joined MNC X. And the profile is in Analytics one is BFSI and another one is HR.

Never take these decisions based on recommendations from random strangers on the internet. We don't know you and your context. This is a decision which only you should take after a thorough consideration. We can only guide you into what and how to think about it.

  1. Figure out what are the core non negotiables in your dream role ( Salary, title/designation, onsite opportunity, Challenging or interesting work, growth opportunities, leadership, company and work culture to name a few). In this list prioritise the top 3 and then prioritise only 1. This is the one core non negotiable for your role and should be your north star metric while making such a decision. Only then will you be content with your decision.
If some one else takes or influences you on this, you will always be left wondering, what if..?

  2. Having said the above point, I personally feel based on my experience, a good mentor/manager + skill set growth opportunities is the best combination for anyone early in their careers. The compounding effect it will have later in your roles and compensation will more than make up for this 5-10% pay hikes that you are fretting over. The biggest pay jumps happen when you switch your jobs, but make sure each jump is for a better growth opportunity.

All the best

The difference in pay is not big enough for you to neglect the other factors at play here. Go with the team that you'd enjoy working with the most.

You'll not understand the value of culture until you deal with a bad or absent one.

Dont know much about their internal workings/ culture but they r doing very well as a Non Banking Financial services Co. Between an MNC and a family owned enterprise i would however place my bet on an MNC. The early year grooming in an MNC goes a long way in your professional development

Is the offer with Bajaj Finance? If so, you r better off with DXC. More than the salary you should figure out what you really like - HR or Fin Analytics

Yes, it is with Bajaj Finserv and I moved on from DXC last month. Finance and HR both are new to me.

I have some financial responsibilities on me. Can you please tell me more about Bajaj?

I did not go ahead with Bajaj F, they don't have good reviews from employees.

Also during interview, they were sugarcoating a lot of things that was not a good flag imo.
