If this question is asked to you in a product management interview. What do you answer?

"How do you look after any program from start to end that comes to you? How do you prioritize? What was the product process you followed?"

I explained the exact thing that i have followed in my previous company as a PM intern but the interviewer did not like the answer (maybe my structuring was wrong or maybe my way of communication).

I want to understand from the experienced folks - how would they approach this question if they were asked this in an interview?

It's hard to answer unless we know which facet of PMgt you didn't cover. Imho an ideal should cover - Dealing with customers to identify their needs and personas
Making a product strategy Aligning product roadmap and begging for tech resources Facing hard decisions and you evaluated trade offs Which metrics you identified and why How you dealt with developers What did you do when you realized that you missed a critical feature in your prd How you convinced business that my product will take 9 months to go live vs initially promised 2 weeks+qa How you went live without a GTM plan and then made one after seeing no adoption How you made a V2 of the project bcoz half of your dependent systems got deprecated by the time you went live
