internship/ placement dilemma 😔

many of my male batchmates with similar coding skills got internship opportunity at top companies like Google, Sprinkler, GS, etc. And i wasn't able to crack even the coding round. later I got to know about everyone was involved in cheating during online coding test forming groups and giving it together. what should I do now, should i consider taking any small internship at some random startup for the sake of filling the experience section of my resume? I will be having placement season after 6 months around september. someone guide me what should i focus more these many days. I am from tier 1 college and around 1500 rated on codeforces and done some good projects in mobile developement.

How does gender come into picture here? If you have 1500 rating on CF, that’s something to improve rather than stereotyping

okay not wanted to be sound rude but all top companies have gender wise cut off for coding round, ex cgpa was around 7 for girls and 8 for boys, they were shortlisted even solving less questions than boys. i am not here to stereotype. and yes I know i have to improve the rating alot, since I'm not girl who will get into sprinkler, GS without even having an account there on cf.

I don’t do CP but honestly I’ve seen girls in my own campus get really good internships that are disproportionate to their coding abilities. At the same time I know girls who are leagues ahead of me in DSA and got their internships on the basis of their skills alone. So OP is correct but not entirely so

Yes, take an intern atleast at one place

Brand name companies hire off-campus interns as well. Try to apply on LinkedIn, attempt cold emailing and messaging. You could also try out some hackathons on unstop.com and other platforms that lead to internship offers. Don’t give up on the hope of bagging a top internship. If you have a decent resume, polish it up and send it out!
