You will get best of both worlds and dont have to look for best apps to invest in US. I suggest to invest in Parag parikh Flexi cap mutual you will get exposure to US market as well as Indian market.

• Govt increased tax (TCS) on investing directly into overseas stocks through services like Vested, INDmoney.

This coordinated attack looks interesting. They are forcing you to hold INR as it continues loose purchasing power against USD, Gold & Bitcoin at a record pace. They can't give you the "choice" anymore as most will sell INR for other assets; forcing you is the last hope of 'they'.
