Near my 28th birthday some aatma started haunting my parents and relatives and they started telling me to marry even though I said I am happy being single. Now my mother soon died after my 28th birthday and my dad and relatives without my consent started seeing matches for me and started irritating me. Even on my mother's funeral, my family friends and relatives instead of saying condolences, where saying to get married.
I am 29 yrs old now and want to focus on my career and weightloss but none of my relatives with their semi-failed marriages care.
Since I am a female, my aunt was telling about the bridal lehengas and all and I told her, if I am not interested and to respect the fact that I do not want to marry.
Not sure why some people do not respect boundaries.

I'm also resisting my parents and relatives since the last 3-4 years. It's hard sometimes, but they can't do anything without your permission anyways.
They already started searching without my permission but yes the final decision stays with me. Since my mother is not there, my aunt is telling me to get married and have kids so my mother's kin continues.... No one in my family seems to take into account about me wanting some solo time for mental peace and focus on my career and health.
It's okay, they won't get it but they care about you as well in their own way. Take your time.

One advice on the marriage thingy, keep their momentum in searching and you just need to reject all the time. This activity will be shut in 21 times, you need to calmly handle this bcz others don’t care about our calm.
Rejected over 30 times but they didn't seem to get that I do not want marriage. Finally I said get me a guy younger than me and now they are quiet. I clearly told them, if I want marriage I will do love marriage but now I want to focus on my career and weightloss and solo-time for peace, something the relatives cannot understand.
