Is anyone here from Zomato? I’m looking for a referral for the product designer role.
Hi all, I am a UXUI designer in Bangalore on the lookout for a full-time position at Zomato in Gurugram.
👉 Why Zomato?
- I love how customer-obsessed the brand is. I find their user experience to be intuitive and accessible (and fun).
- Zomato is an environment-conscious brand and it aligns with my values as well.
- I like how much effort they put in the micro-interactions, be it as small as telling you to straighten your back while they load the search results or their innovation showcase or just simply how easy their information architecture is. The app is very easy to use and doesn’t feel overwhelming for users.
👉 Why you should consider giving me a referral?
- I am an engineer turned self-taught UX designer who freelanced for a year on multiple projects before pursuing an MS degree in Human-Computer Interaction. During my master's degree, I published four research papers talking about how I conduct user research to understand user psychology to make better design decisions.
- I also briefly worked at a London-based SAAS company as a UX analyst where I honed my skills in quantitative research. -I have also mentored 17 aspiring UX designers at the university. Additionally, I was the first and only postgraduate student to be part of the HCI seminar group, which exclusively accepts PhD scholars and professors in the field of Human-Computer Interaction.
- In my current role as a UX designer at a start-up that serves both B2B and B2C markets, I have gained experience in several key areas. I designed an intuitive dashboard for the sales team, created a sustainability goal-tracking dashboard for our HoReCa clients, streamlined the user flow for scheduled deliveries and target setting, and revamped the delivery app for our delivery partners.
- And finally, I am a self-starter and always hungry for growth. I signed myself up for BCG’s strategic and experience design job simulation, just because I was curious to find out how they solve user problems.
I want to work at a user-centric brand such as Zomato because I am as obsessed with their UX as they are with their customers. I feel like I would thrive in such an environment and would certainly bring a lot of experience to the table as well. I hope I find a Zomato employee here, who would help me become a part of the Zomato design team. Please reach out if you can help or have any advice for me.
