Thoughts on MIM( Insead, LBS) vs ISB MBA
How are the job prospects in general? How are the prospects in Dubai after doing the MIM .Is it worth it? . While the 2022 graduates had great job offers, the 2023 batch struggled. Any thoughts on this?
I've planned to take the GMAT soon and apply for ISB R1. The opinion of my friends etc has been divided. A lot of people love ISB and the opportunities it provides. A bunch of others are saying it's wannabe IIM and I should apply to IIMs or abroad.
I'm 25F with a good work profile, diversity and merit so I don't really want to do a 2 years MBA and def not in IIMs. I'm considering unis abroad but also only the top 1 year programs only.
Should I apply for ISB or go for IIMs instead? And are B schools abroad worth it when I want to work in India only?
A MBA is good or bad based on the first job you get after the course. I know people from IIM working normal second class jobs and people from T2 college working in leadership positions..
If you want to work in India only then studying abroad makes no sense (Higher univ feels and then lower ROI in India). For a 1 year course, ISB is perfect (For proper MBA, IIMs are more suited ofcourse). Yes, ISB is expensive but eventually it's the practical exposure that matters (also the brand name :) )
