Thoughts on MIM( Insead, LBS) vs ISB MBA
How are the job prospects in general? How are the prospects in Dubai after doing the MIM .Is it worth it? . While the 2022 graduates had great job offers, the 2023 batch struggled. Any thoughts on this?
Are you doing a MIM because you have less than 3 years of experience? If so I'd say gain 2-3 more years of experience and do an MBA from INSEAD/LBS.
On ISB, it depends on whether you want to stay in India or go abroad. Generally my experience with ISB grads (friends, seniors and leaders) is neutral to negative. If you're doing an MBA it's for the brand and network. You'll meet more or less the same kind of people in ISB so might as well go abroad.
As for Dubai. I personally don't see any long term growth potential in a region that got rich (and lucky) from oil and can't for the life of it build and diversify in an original value creation oriented manner. Kuwait might be a better experience.
I’m a final year grad at LSR, should I go for MiM next year, get into IIM/ISB next year, or apply for M7 after 4-5 years, apply for deferred MBA rn? I need your guidance, could you please help me with pros and cons or what is the best acc to you?
LSR is a very good look on your profile. If I were you, I'd bank like 3-5 yoe, get a 720+ GMAT score and apply for M7 or top European b-school. Employment and economy might improve by then too
