Is there a problem if I join and leave a small company for a big one?
I am awaiting an offer from a big MNC, and I have discussions ongoing with some small companies as well. My notice period is now over, as my project is finished and they asked me to leave in a month (they don't want to keep me on the bench)
So, I wanted to check if there would be any issues if I opt to join a small company whoever offers me first and then whenever the big ones offer, leave the small company dropping them a mail and returning their assets, and join the big one without serving the notice period in the small company? Kindly advice.
Collective wisdom in sorting moral quandaries will not give you any direction.
Make a choice, communicate it and stick to it. Don't play hop-skip-jump. It's just a sad uncertain way to deal with options.
I don't want to do the hopping exercise either. Just that the X is delaying the process way too much and I am keen on joining them because of the job security there.
But on the other hand, I don't want to lose the ground by losing what is already offered, in case the worst case happens that X takes weeks together to respond.
Just a small advice: there's no big or small company. If you see the market right now - A company might exist today but not there's no guarantee of tomorrow.
I would suggest you to look/talk to employees about the financially how the company is doing.
I did. And eventually I found that what I considered a small company turns out to be doing better. Also the offer is good as well, 40LPA (fixed)
It would be better if you accelerate the process with big company...
Trying to accelerate the process will let the HR lowball my salary, which is why this stand.
I want to know the possible implications. Let's say the big company is X and the small company is x. Please advice.
