Salary Negotiation
I recently cleared the interviews for a very well seed funded startup. I want to know how should I negotiate? HR has asked me to tell the expectations, how to benchmark it?
Also, how much ESOPs should I ask for?
YOE-1.5
Hi everyone,
Recently I've been given an offer from a seed funded fintech startup. So I'm just wondering if it is fair enough. Please help
21L base + 1L ESOPs (vesting over 4 years)
YOE ~ 2 (Software engineer)
What should be my ideal ask?
Base is okayish for 2 yoe (can definitely ho higher) Esops are really low. 1L that too over 4 years doesn't make sense.
Bro is just flexing at this point. I've not heard of a single person getting paid 21L for 2 YOE.
Bro genuinely asking. What would I get in flexing. I specifically mentioned Fintech as in fintech I generally see salaries on Higher sides. I know a company that gives 20L-22L base in on campus offers
Bhai company ka naam bata nahi sakte ho samjhta hu bas Aisa hint dedo aur initials ki samjh aajaye. Mai bhi koshish kar raha hu switch ki kuch months me. All the best
1L esops? Tell them it's imaginary money so to give you more imaginary money atleast
Lol
Is it remote or wfo? Considering your experience it's good, but u can always negotiate as more money in bank never hurts 😛
Actually wfo (not even hybrid). I don't think they will entertain negotiation but I want to try. I think my interviews and interaction was pretty good. Are ESOPs value good enough? 1L for 4 years is kinda low? Don't you think?
Never rely on that paper money but yeah it's quite low
