Students can form a good group and build interesting projects.
Not for most people really. You need ropes to climb.
Once in a blue moon will there be an individual so talented that people will drop ropes automatically but for the rest of us, we network so that we can have access to said ropes.
Just like my advice, any and all advices should be taken with a grain of salt.

Networking might be overrated but it can not be underestimated. In this day and age, the effect of one’s network and connections can overpower someone else’s skills and expertise having a poor or no network. But one has to still be good at their craft.
I feel that these quotes and all are not to be taken as gospel truth. Everything is dynamic and ever evolving. What works for one may not work for other. Just take it with a pinch of salt
