Job Hunt Platforms

Hello guys; I have been actively applying to job/internship openings on LinkedIn (It might have reached 50+ by now) but what I get is either they ghost me, or reject me.

There's only 1 or 2 companies where I actually received a response but even they ghosted me after submitting practice assignment. Also; the rejection mail of each company is the same so I am starting to think that most of the jobs are automated by bots or something.

Can anyone suggest an active job search platform where employers post the role with the intention to hire employees, even look through the candidate's resume and respond instead of ghosting?

In the same boat, one thing you could do is instead applying for companies directly on LinkedIn you can just do a simple LinkedIn search of word "recruiters", then just draft a sample message stating who you are and your college and qualifications and relevant skills and then say that you're looking for so and so opportunities if available at their company and send it to them. Chances of actually getting replies are better this way than just applying

Probably you would have to send it to as many people as you want but I would suggest since it's just a copy paste you can touch high numbers of DMs sent and increase chances of converting opportunities

Wow, this one sounds like it will actually work 😃

Thank you very much for such a great idea

2 responses out of 50 applications is such a good outcome honestly. In late 2019, I applied for 150+ internships (Masters abroad), got 3 calls, 2 rejected jn first round due to language (French/German), 1 converted at top 2/3 company of Fortune 500 list!

For full time role in early 2023 after getting laid off (India), it took me 250+ applications, 3 interviews, and only 1 conversion.

TLDR; 50 applications is not much in this market situation

Totally agreed, one year back when I was looking for a job, I applied 100 job per day and I got a call 4-5 in a week, so you have to push a little hard to get that one call. All the best 💯

You can try WellFound, Internshala, YCombinator, Cutshort, Cuvette for looking for internships, other than LinkedIn. Even if you apply at these portals, don't forget to DM recruiters on LinkedIn. All the best! 👍🏻
