Joining extension

I am scheduled to join EY in 15 days, but my current company manager initially agreed to an early release. However, due to recent project-related changes, he now requires me to serve an additional month here. I understand EY's expectation for me to join promptly and would like to discuss how we can navigate this situation. will they extend this much time? please suggest on this.
