(Lack of) Civic Sense in Bangalore

Honestly it amazes me everyday I step out into traffic in this city.

  1. Tempos, autos, two wheelers just parked where ever tf they want, talking to their long lost cousin by the looks of it.

2.The random “hero” scooter dude who HAS to run the red light and almost take me out with him.

  1. Jaywalking, lol. What’s that here? As long as you can cross the road with your life be thankful.

  2. Lanes are merely a suggestion unless there’s actually a fucking physical barrier that prevents people cutting lanes.

It’s pretty much tarmac chaotic dashing cars let loose. Idk how this city will ever handle the progress it’s supposedly destined to have.

I thought it only happens in Delhi-NCR. Guess it's all over India 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Realistically the traffic mania is less in non touristy towns in Mountainous areas.

Rest every city has self labled middle-class while behaving like they're above everyone,

personal observation for Ahmedabad atleast when some biker gets crushed under a truck at busy junction on ring road, the news spreads among locals and the traffic quality "improves" noticably for a week then again all hell breaks loose.

It is an Indian problem, we lack civic sense in general.

Remember the drama with swatcha bharatha abhiyan (rare good initiative by modiji) . Elite people did photo ops and delegated actual work to poor people.

Our general thought process is that following the rules and conventions are the signs of weakness.

Bangalore is not destined to have any progress. It's destined to doom.
