laid off, how’s the market?

I was recently asked to resign/layoff along with 40% of the engg and product function at the org with 1 month pay. I have 1 yr in Fintech Product M and 3 years in Travel tech.

How the hiring situation like right now? Anyone currently looking please share. Referrals appreciated.

Situation is bad but most of the Product roles out in the market are in fintech only so you may get a job quickly. Anyone with 2+ years of product exp would not have a hard time in finding a relevant job. It just may be not ‘the’ job you would be wishing for.

Appreciate your response. A role which fits all my criteria might be a tough to get right now then. But won’t it be the case that only companies that are doing well might be hiring at this point?

Not necessarily. My guess is that perhaps only fintech start ups have received some funding compared to other kinds of startups. So it is possibly why they have openings. Also, most larger companies/ well-to-do companies have employees that are not switching due to the market and would rather keep their jobs.
