These are my thoughts
- some might think what is going on with Ola? I believe price conscious customer wanting to try a new alternative are buying and they are okay if it doesn’t work out. They might have bought a few things that’s not worked for them.
- ones we are seeing might be ones who have access to these platform and they could be complaining, these customers want quality or decent after sales service
From the business side, the founder has diversified his offerings and building multiple businesses, with success of Ola, the return investors might not pressurise for quality but to capture market share and few might exit.
The competitors, Ather seem to have less complaints and they are taking quality dimension and slowly diversifying their product portfolio to the masses.
It would be interesting to see how market domination would work or the rule of 3 would be established.
It’s fascinating to watch.
I am biased, I am an Ather owner since 2019, upgraded mine to the X version.
