Small Finance banks are giving 9% interest on 'real' money lol
Yeah like I get they’re trying to make people keep money on crypto
But they’ve gotta know this isn’t what I have in mind when I invested in crypto

These FDs aren't the same quality as Bigger bank FDs at a lower rate.Small finance banks offer loans to high risk clients at >10% interest rates which are prone to default at higher rates. Eg loan offerings on apps, to new small business etc although the chances are less.
The RBI insures every bank account upto 5lakh, so in the worst case a small finance Bank goes under you will only get 5lakh so try to keep the investment corpus under 4lakh for 3-5 years so you can get interest back too after that time.
Ive not used this, but Their argument might be, you'll get the base crypto gains plus a 8% kicker on top of it.
Kinda similar to RBI gold bonds promise gold price upside+ 2.5% annual extra.
Quite a few international crypto exchanges offer this type of locked in deposit features, major risks user taking is exchange going kaput or underlying crypto not performing.

Exactly. Rupee isn't increasing in value over time, crypto is.
Nahi you might've got this worng, rupees price fluctuations against usd is generally irrelevant to us regular people while the actual 105₹ against 100₹ is tangible difference,
crypto on the other hand price fluctuations can screw up. It's bound to swing humongous drawdowns.
Crypto fd might give you 1.08 eth against 1 eth after a certain time is practically nonsense if usd value of 1.08 eth is less than that of usd value one year ago.

Haha I love that the loss isn't limited to capital invested. It's the loss of your sleep that's contributing to the 320.69%
