Short term investments

Where do you all save emergency funds and other savings for short term needs. Let's say if you wanna save some amount of your salary and don't want it in a bank, where would you put that money so it gets better returns than bank and it can be easily liquidated. Please suggest where you would put it and how much returns you may expect.

Arbitrage fund - 6-7 %, capital gains taxation 10-15%

@NumbScholar FD carries a tax equivalent to the income tax slab I suppose.

Don't mix ease of ready access for emergency funds with returns. They are incompatible.

Keep them wherever you can get them quickly.

FD. If not, then an arbitrage fund.

Linked FD to my savings account bank. Will get FD returns if I end up not using it
