Major Shakeup at Unacademy

A lot of people at Unacademy have already resigned, and they are unable to hire replacements from the market( for who knows what reasons). Now as we all know people who are left in the organisation are going to have a tough time.

Leaves not being approved, longer hours at work, mental harassment in the name of being available 24*7 is becoming a day to day thing. Now they are forcing people to take up sections of business one has never dealt with and are threatening to fire them if they are denying those roles.

People who left the organisation in 2022 are the luckiest and well a bunch of well informed individuals who saw the end of this company before anyone else could have.

What a time to be in edtech, indeed

I'm still hopeful that edtech will reinvent and start doing better

They don't want to reinvent, they just want to sell shit courses and make money.

Why do you want it to reinvent? My experience with ed tech platforms had been really really terrible and I wish only certain death upon these companies

Investors should ponder, why did many people resigned/ left/ asked to leave? All cannot be bottom performer. Investors should do a survey with the exits across level, be it Director/ AVP/ VP/ CXO. IN short anyone who has worked with GM, RS. They are just burning VC money at the expense of employees mental health.

Lol VCs don't want to know Jack about all this. All they care is selling their stake to the next guy in line

If they aren’t able to close recruiters easily, unacademy has a problem.

They harassed people to work 24*7, though Saturday is a holiday for L4 levels Directors are forcing associates to come on Saturday and to leave the office at 9PM. One of my friends is working there, he's so pissed off

This is in the list of companies that need to shut down including Byjus, Scaler, etc. The Edtech sector is done and now is the time to pull the plug and stop funding these egostistical maniacs like Byju Raveendran, Divya Gokulnath, Gaurav Munjal and whosoever else!

100th Layoff round at Unacademy

So again Unacademy has asked people to leave, and asked them to resign.

Leadership is so clueless about what they are doing, they fired 3-4 people whom they had hired a month ago. Imagine the situation 😂

And I don't see this stopping ...
