My new manager at a new company works on weekends too. Comments in documents, sends mails and a bunch of other stuff. Sends mail at fucking 4 & 5 in the morning.
I feel pressured to work on weekends too because he is working. I'm already clocking 10 hour work days. How to deal with this situation?

Stop it at the start. Don't put yourself out there, so they start considering your extra effort as normal or default.
Shut the laptop on Friday and open it only on Monday. Don't follow up on weekends which might become a habit and they expect you to respond on weekends.
Until they don't ask you, you don't respond. Also there could be multiple reasons why they prefer to work during certain times.
Once you break the boundary you have, there's no way getting it back again.
I sometimes work on weekends when there is a lot of workload. Although I do refrain from sending mails or personal texts as much as possible. My working on weekends doesn't mean that I expect the team members to work on weekends too. It is a personal choice, because on weekends there is no rush; there is no one asking one thing or other, and I can focus on completing my tasks. So, chill. You don't need to be online and working on weekends, until and unless you are specifically being asked for it.
Even I spend hours working but ensure that all emails and messages are scheduled for Monday morning and not send impromptly during the weekend.

If I go by the work done by your manager which you have mentioned in your post, the comments and mails seem unavoidable with the circumstances if he is running behind and needs to provide his input. Don't take much load of these things as your manager might be only trying to complete their work.
If you still feel the pressure, you can talk with your manager 1:1 and try to understand their PoV. No harm done in sorting things out.
It’s fine as long as he/she is not expecting you to reply and work over the weekend. It’s normal to feel pressurised but relax and turn off notifications on the weekend.
I end up working for a few hours on weekends, especially if there is a big meeting or presentation on a Monday morning. But I inform my team I don’t expect them to do the same.
How do I know if the manager is expecting a reply or an acknowledgement of the message received from me?
There are ppl who do not have any life outside work, lost friendships due to ego. Marriage is not working as they dont know why they got married to their partner. So all they have is office so they try to make life hell for everyone, always a asslicker to senior folks. They wanted to feel important, can’t see other ppl happy in their lives. Just ignore these assholes, work diligently in your working hours after enjoy your life, focus on your health and spend some time with your parents too !
