Might get canceled for this but Instagram has overhyped Banaras.

I don't know about you guys, but Marine Drive on weekends has become a whole new battlefield. I was out there recently, and it felt like I was dodging reels, not people. Every few steps, thereās a group of chapris making Instagram reels, blocking the walkway. It's getting out of hand, can't even walk in peace anymore.
Sure, it's a public space, and everyone has the right to do their thing. But when it starts affecting othersā ability to enjoy a simple walk by the sea, that's when it gets frustrating. Maybe the police should start cracking down on these folks the same way they handle reckless driving incidents. It's turning into a circus out there!
I get it, the internet has opened up opportunities for a lot of people, but when it starts feeling like you're walking through a production set on your Sunday stroll, something's gotta give.
What do you guys think? Is this just part of the new normal, or should something be done about it?
Brother, I have a client place there. It's the same on weekdays also. I go for a walk post lunch, see so many jobless people just making reels and doing nothing throughout the day. It's baffling to see, I can't even walk in peace.
Seriously
I have had so many post lunch walks there near ncpa. Best location. So many memories back in 2015/16
The true effects of social media clout chasing on younger generations will take years to manifest. Simple decisions on their own safety is being clouded by needing to upload to platforms
And itās not just an Indian problem
Yeah exactly. They will go crazy
Making reels should be banned at marines like it is banned in Delhi metro š
It should be literally banned
I've noticed same at Carter road bandra as well. They literally expect you to walk around their "work space" like they own the streets. vDisturbing or causing nuisance to other people should never be normalised
This is actually very true
@MuchosGracias @QuietSurgery I think you got me wrong. Of course, these people dont have money in hand but neither does lakhs of engineers in our country. So, if they are trying something different and actually a trending business right now, who are we to blame? Weren't we the same people who were asking for jobs during the layoff period?
I agree with you here.

Instagram drives fomo have created epidemic of status driven consumption like ā¹2500 for a one hour class of pottery, strawberry picking for Rs. 2000.
What happened to free activities like playing morning cricket or enjoying IPL finale...
Finally someone said it š Why is Staying at home looked down upon
Or these people don't have toxic managers who let the employees leave early from office?
