me travelling from noida to gurgaon. how to spend time in metro?

Seriously contemplating moving to Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida due to personal reasons. Folks working there in IT, how's the work culture and overall state of tech industry?

I am currently WFH, but looking for new opportunities. Since most of the companies are now demanding on site, which is better for better growth, savings and learning? Gurgaon/ Noida or Bangalore?? Current Experience ~ 2 years

I work as a project manager for an international company. They’re planning to put an office in Delhi in the next 2-3 months. Currently I work fully remote, they’re hinting at me going on-site in Delhi cause they want me to take up a leadership position. I am born and brought up in Mumbai, living in Bangalore for about 2 years. I absolutely love Bangalore and I’m not that keen on moving. Is there someone who’s moved to Delhi? How’s the experience been for you? What can I expect?

Last year, I was travelling via the Metro towards Sikanderpur Station on the Yellow Line. As I was about to reach Qutub Minar station and the metro was as usual crowded. I had onboarded at Delhi Haat - INA, so no seat for me. Suddenly the metro abruptly stopped and someone started screaming. The inertia was so much that people literally lost balance and fell over each other. I am super confused because it almost felt like we got hit or something. The announcement speaker goes live and the metro driver asks "Haan kya problem hai?" Then on the same line Amidst this chaos we heard the announcement speaker. It was the driver. He asked, “Haan kya problem hai?” Then we all heard some lady say that Ladies Coach mei AC nahi chal rha. Man, I wanted to give that woman a tight slap right across her face. On the next station the station security was ready and the woman was apprehended. I realized that day that most people in this country are so dumb that they don't deserve first world amenities and services. Also, dimaag nahi hai zara sa but Confidence ho toh aisa. What do you think about people who act so entitled on Delhi metro? Picture: Peaceful day in the metro when I finally got a seat.

Been here for quite some time now and I have been by far the top performer in my team. Still I am making less money year over year because of crap hikes and inflation. The pathetic hike I get barely makes a dent in the mental trauma that this company is inflicting on me. Moreover, travelling for hours in the Metro is killing me on the inside. Like being squished between people and getting no seat while I am trying to just switch from Yellow to Magenta line will be the end of me. My life will be spent in this metro and that is so depressing ffs. My advice to others in Big 4 companies, don't stay at Deloitte for more than 2 years unless you can coast at senior management w/ good pay. Is this the way they treat you at your companies too?
