Moonlighting

My company doesn't allow working for anyone else including freelancing. I'm a fresher so I don't know what information my company can access with my PAN Number. The second job also has TDS,I don't know how the Form 16 works.

Could someone please help me out? I want to freelance without getting caught/losing my full-time job.

Register a sole proprietorship company on your name. That would have a different pan number. Or create a huf with your family members. Use that account for freelancing. Or If possible raise invoices to client on name of your family member

So you're telling me that if I don't get PF from my freelancer, I won't get caught? My FT employer provides PF

I'd like to reiterate that my freelance employer has TDS and taking my PAN

Can you elaborate what do you mean by TDS on second job?

And do they ask for PAN?

They're cutting 1% TDS, tax deducted at source So I'm guessing they probably have me registered as an employee, wondering if it can be seen through my PAN

Can't. Refrain from freelancing where the employer cuts tds and epf. You will get caught.

Freelance otherwise.

No one can fetch details using your PAN number.

It's the PF history than can be verified in background check.

Even then you exisiting company won't be able to tell if you are working for any other company.

What's the f*ckery with form 16? Would my company interfere when I'm filing taxes?
