Navratri is in 2 weeks! Where can one go for garba nights? Please drop locations below⬇️
Thanks in advance :)
Garba is symbolic of the Hindu view of time and is performed in formations that resemble concentric circles. The dancers revolve in these concentric rings, as time is cyclical - and the dancers graduate from the outermost rings to the inner most rings.
The inner rings are where the best dancers are at.
In Bangalore, start on the Outer Ring Road and try and end up on the Inner Ring Road. This dance should give you a great perspective of the cyclical nature of time. /s
Options in BLR are extremely limited - a lot of Dandiyas are organizd by Bongs as a side show to Pujo pandals (beats me why). There is one in HSR (ABCD), ITPL and Phoenix Market City. Also a slightly upmarket one at the Lalit Ashok grounds.
Crowd is mid and experience is meh. Mostly because of the music and the non-serious nature of the folks there. The keen ones take a plane and hop over to Mumbai / Baroda / Surat / Amdavad for the weekend. 3 nights of back to back garba/dandiya.
Daya Ben, is that you ? :)
