Android Dev Career progression
Hey everyone, If a mid-level Android developer is considering learning a new skill, should they choose iOS/multi-platform or backend development? Which would be better in terms of future opportunities?
Don't get me wrong I love android app development (6 years) but off late I've seem to hit a brick wall and the pay isn't great as well. Only thing keeping me sane is for my love for Kotlin.
I see people being somewhat good at their job. But the tech that they work on has a lot of leverage (As in lot of companies need it are sent on-site or have opportunity to work in other countries easily) I aspire to be like that or atleast come close to.
Not really sure what to do or which area to upskill in, any suggestion or advice is helpful
These were some of my thoughts:
1.Hunker down on Android development + kmp 2.Learn iOS and become a mobile ninja 3.Learn a bit of ios and backend and become a fullstack developer/engineer 4.Try something different AI/ML maybe?
Dm bro.. i am also Android dev with 6 yrs exp
