Need guidance
So I work in a startup that pays well but is not doing financially well . I work as a frontend developer (mobile). Now I got an offer from another company who is paying according to my requirements. But I want to switch to backend from frontend. Is it possible to do it once I join the new company. I have 1 year experience. Like I am early in my career. So it should be possible to make the switch. What I am thinking is if I work for 6 months or so. I would ask my new manager to transition me in the backend(will my salary be impacted here?). Or i am being too optimistic

It depends on for what role you were hired for and what went into your interviews, they might or might not do that, you won’t have the power of if it is a necessary, What can be best for you is you ask your manager to take up both frontend and backend works while they hire some another pure Frontend role and you can upskill meanwhile
